This is the first line from photographer Rio Helmi’s introduction to Looking for Bali, a photographic work by photographer Michael D. Morgan.

For the past few years Michael has been exploring the island and capturing imagery that celebrates the lives of ordinary Balinese.

It explores the human stories of everyday life in Bali, whether it’s in a small family-run warung, a village healer making house calls, or in the face of a fisherman who has returned home from sea.

Designed by award-winning publisher Afterhours in Jakarta, it features a clean design using high-quality materials and top printing inks.
